

Given the pillion pegs were missing, we decided to send the pillion seat off as well.
First to go was the leather cover and padding off of the original pillion seat plate. This was replaced with expanding builders foam and roughly cut to shape and covered in some fiberglass. Then came the hard work.

Once it was smooth enough (read, “I got bored enough”) several coats of paint from RS Bike Paints and coats of 2-part gloss coat has it looking pretty good.
Whether it makes the bike any quicker around the track is a different story…
